Luminato and the Wave Deck

While watching the news we learned that a new walkway was created by the harbourfront.
We'd already planned on checking out Luminato, so we thought we'd try to find this Wave Deck thing while we were down there.
After an enjoyable time of wandering around, we eventually spotted it. It was a true people-magnet. Everyone had to try walking around on it.
It was a good thing there was an ambulance sitting across the street as some girls were determined they could climb it wearing stilettos.
I would have gone a little more crazy with the pictures and the general climbing around had there not been so many people, but being there on a busy day enabled us to watch lots of kids slide around.
Ask any one of them and they would have said the $6 million construction cost was surely worth it.
It didn't take long before our noses were telling us it was time to eat. An event called 1000 Tastes of Toronto was also going on, so after a lengthy inspection of the stations, we paid our 5 bucks and checked out the Hemispheres food.
Mostly because it was a shorter line and we were pretty hungry by then.
No outing for us would be complete without some ice cream, so we parked ourselves by the lake and enjoyed our sunset treat.
In the end we didn't see the actual Luminato shows, but after trying to navigate through the massive crowds for a few hours, we felt like we'd had enough of an adventure.

My feet were very pleased that I picked that time to try out the foot bath thing my sister gave me. I have to say, it feels like the ultimate in laziness to sit in front of the tv while your feet are getting a watery massage. James said he could be convinced to try it out if there was a little bubble bath involved. Diva.
The way Sushi took off once the jets started up, you'd think she'd just seen one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

It was nice to get out and have a day of adventure. I've been too cooped up lately.
